My first blog posting.

I am incredibly excited to be at this point in my publishing! It has been a long and sometimes arduous road. In 2009, I never thought that my short story would become something more - that I would eventually publish. I thought that I would thank all the people that helped me get to where I am today.

Thank you, Masoud Razfar for reading my early first draft and giving me feedback. Masoud, you helped me bring a few parts to life!

Thank you, Seann Alderking for reading the later draft and giving me feedback as well. Your talents for editing were very evident and your patience was a virtue too!

I’d like to acknowledge Gary Siegel for guiding me on my voyage to find my own “Hero’s Journey.” You gave me the courage to find my way.

Thank you to the crew at FriesenPress for supporting me through my first publishing jitters. You are an amazing group of people who made the whole process easy!

There is also a long list of people who helped me reach my goal of self-publishing my book: K. Abramovich, Bryan Acevedo Reyes, Seann Alderking, Lawrence Arundel, David Bellamy, Felix Blanco, Scott Boutilier, Gerald Box, Zach Bulls, Hal Carty, Tim Coates, Adam Cohen, Brian Curry, Charles Delano, William Denis, Tarek El Bizri, Douglas Feltis, Wesley Frost, Gary Hayashi, Celeste Hayne, Jon Hemingway, Marty Kreil, Jennifer Lawless, Peter Leek, Berend McKenzie, Ron Maddox, Bonnie Maxilom, Tim Marshall, Victor Martel, Terry McHale, Glenn Miles, Faith Miller, Kaylee Miller, Lisa Miller, Omar Moh, Masoud Razfar, Brendan Rideout, Jonathon Rivera, Raymond Rodgers, Daren Sage, Theodore Salger-Smith, Lisa Gail Schwarz, William Selender, James Southerland, Max Spragovsky, Richard Stilwell, Fernando Vélez, Chris Wardale and Brian Wotton.

I celebrate all of you. You are the stars in my eyes!
Hugs to you all, Grant Miller

Self-published my first book—now the real challenge is selling it. Any tips or platforms that actually work for indie authors?
